RALLY and A-COLD-WALL* invite emerging artists and creatives to conceive and realise a site-responsive installation for RALLY 2026.

The open call seeks proposals for A Place To Gather – a shared environment designed for Southwark Park that encourages rest, conversation, connection, and collective experience. Projects should respond meaningfully to the site while creating opportunities for people to gather, pause, and interact at the festival.

In partnership with A-COLD-WALL* and in collaboration with curator Francesca Gavin (EPOCH Review, NTS Radio), we're seeking bold proposals that rethink how people come together in a festival setting, creating space to pause, connect, converse, and share experience.

Bringing together RALLY’s focus on collective experience and A-COLD-WALL*’s instinct for challenging convention, the brief invites bold and considered approaches to structure, material, and atmosphere.

Participants are invited to explore how the space can hold both openness and tension, function and feeling - drawing from ideas of utility, landscape, movement, and the social rhythms of temporary public spaces. Proposals should consider how environments can create moments of collective presence within the festival ecosystem.

Submissions are welcomed from individuals and collectives whose proposals create a shared, human-centred environment within the festival: a space that encourages people to gather, sit, linger, and socialise while fostering moments of connection and exchange: A Place To Gather.

Application details

One selected applicant or collective will be commissioned to realise their proposal on site at RALLY 2026 in Southwark Park, London.

The selected project will form part of the festival environment and should function as a space for gathering, rest, conversation, and collective experience throughout the event.

Applicants are invited to propose a site-responsive installation, structure, or spatial intervention that responds to the brief A Place To Gather.

Eligibility

> Open to emerging artists, designers, architects, and creative practitioners working across disciplines
> Individual and collective applications are welcome
> Applicants must be aged 18 or over
> Open internationally, though applicants should consider the feasibility of production and installation within the available budget

A-COLD-WALL*

A-COLD-WALL* is a British sportswear brand inspired by the legacy of national industry.

Explicitly referencing domestic cultural frameworks, A-COLD-WALL* utilises experimental materials deriving from performance-wear and industrial palettes inspired by post-war Britain to subvert classic menswear staples.

Over the past decade, A-COLD-WALL* has cemented its positioning through a sustained commitment to exploring subcultural movements and collaborating across disciplines. By working closely with emerging talents and established names alike, the brand has built a platform that merges design with broader social dialogue.

RALLY

RALLY is a one day music and arts festival inspired by DIY culture, celebrating the importance of community. The festival will take place on 29 August 2026 in Southwark Park, London.

Rooted in contemporary culture, design, sound, and art, RALLY brings together multidisciplinary practices that encourage participation, encounter, and shared experience.

In collaboration with A-COLD-WALL*, this open call extends that dialogue through a temporary environment shaped by material experimentation, critical design thinking, and an interest in how people move through and occupy public space.
