Mount Kimbie release new album 'The Sunset Violent'
The group reunite at the RALLY 2024.
Evolving and distinctive, stunning yet understated, Mount Kimbie’s new album The Sunset Violent is out today on Warp. The UK electronic heavyweights are poised to play Southwark Park this August, right off the back of their first studio album in seven years.
On ‘The Sunset Violent’ Mount Kimbie are “breaking conventions and shattering expectations” (FLOOD Magazine): The nine-track release is absorbing, rock-edged electronica, with dazzling production flourishing throughout. Now a fully-fledged four-piece, Andrea Balency-Béarn and Marc Pell join Dom Maker and Kai Campos for the LP, with previous collaborator @ King Krule featuring on tracks ‘Empty And Silent’ and ‘Boxing’.
Born in 2008 from production duo Dom Maker and Kai Campos, four albums later Mount Kimbie are now a fully-fledged four-piece with Andrea Balency-Béarn and Marc Pell joining the fold for the new LP. There's a trademark timelessness to The Sunset Violent, and we can't get enough of it at RALLY HQ.
Endless gratitude to Mount Kimbie for putting their trust in us to deliver what already feels like one of the most anticipated performances in London this summer.
