TAAHLIAH (live)

Hailing from Glasgow, TAAHLIAH began producing music shortly after taking up DJing, motivated by a desire to hear something different from the club scene around her. She started by reworking tracks—layering distorted vocals over hard dance beats and transforming pop hits into experimental club anthems. Her unique sound gained traction with Angelica, a 2021 mini-album released via London label untitled (recs), which won Best Independent EP/Mixtape at the AIM Awards.
Her creative momentum continued into 2022 with a trilogy of singles that showcased her versatility, from the intense “Bodies” featuring Luca Eck to the euphoric “Fall Into Place” with Tsatsamis, and the irreverent IDM collab “Fuck It!” with Loraine James. In October 2024, TAAHLIAH unveiled her debut album Gramarye, a bold and deeply personal project featuring contributions from Dev Hynes (Blood Orange) and her own vocals for the first time. It marked a defining moment, merging introspective lyrics with electrifying dance-floor energy.
TAAHLIAH’s fearless blend of fun and experimentation has made her a standout in electronic music. Her viral Boiler Room set exemplifies this, effortlessly merging mainstream EDM with avant-garde electronic. She's brought this ethos to both highbrow venues and iconic festivals, from Southbank Centre and fabric to Glastonbury and Sziget. Alongside a global touring schedule, she co-hosts the podcast The Dolls Discuss and has guest-hosted on BBC 6 Music, reinforcing her presence as both an influential artist and cultural voice.
