Norwegian duo Smerz (Henriette Motzfeldt and Catharina Stoltenberg) have spent the past decade developing one of contemporary pop's most distinctive languages. Their music combines electronic production, club rhythms, R&B, jazz and experimental songwriting, turning seemingly minimal ideas into something emotionally expansive. From their early releases through Believer and 2023's Big city life, they have continually pushed at the edges of what electronic pop can be.

Their combination of intimacy, abstraction and club sensibility makes Smerz a particularly natural fit for Channel. Their live show brings the duo's meticulous production into a physical space, creating something simultaneously cerebral, sensual and deeply immediate, exactly the kind of boundary-crossing performance that defines the stage.
