Expect the unexpected with JG Wilkes, aka Optimo (Espacio), at RALLY. Founded in Glasgow in 1997 alongside the late JD Twitch, Optimo became known for ignoring genre boundaries and building sets around curiosity, surprise and the energy of the room.

Through their legendary Sunday residency at Sub Club, the duo created a space where post-punk, techno, disco, pop, industrial and leftfield electronics could sit alongside one another. Their influential 2004 How To Kill The DJ mix remains a good illustration of that approach, bringing artists as varied as Blondie, Ricardo Villalobos, Depeche Mode and Arthur Russell into the same conversation.

Since JD Twitch's passing in 2025, JG Wilkes has continued the Optimo legacy, maintaining the project's spirit of unpredictability through international touring and residencies including Phonox in London. At Visionaire, presented by GALA, expect a set guided by Optimo's long-running philosophy: “We Love Your Ears.” The focus is on the dancefloor, with plenty of room for the unexpected.
