Kassie Krut began as a solo act named after her own playful alias, Kasra Kurt. Known for her work as guitarist and vocalist in Philadelphia band Palm, Kassie used this side project to explore new guitar-driven adventures with electronic textures and immersive soundscapes.

After Palm disbanded in 2023, Kassie moved to New York and teamed up with longtime collaborators Eve Alpert and Matt Anderegg to form a new three-headed project, also called Kassie Krut. Their self-produced debut EP showcases a restrained palette, blending electric and acoustic sounds with industrial textures and a balance of smooth and abrasive tones.

Rooted in influences ranging from dub and grime to hyperpop and electronic body music, Kassie Krut’s music delivers a unique sonic world. The band’s layered, playful approach reinterprets everyday noises and textures, creating immersive songs filled with both grit and melodic beauty.
