Anchored by music as a source of connection, james K’s set on the NTS hosted Agnes stage will be as much about feeling as listening. Her work fluidly intermingles trip-hop and shoegaze with euphoric overtones, coalescing last year in the acclaimed album Friend.

Misty-eyed and twinkling, james K’s voice is towering in pitch and silky in its delivery. Lyrics exploring loneliness, love and losing your way make the music feel equal parts grounded and hypnotic. The work has since been remixed in fascinating interpretations by the likes of Priori, JASSS and Objekt for a follow-up album released this April.
